Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed they will play two 50-over Warm Up matches before 3 match T20i series against UAE. it will be a second series this year between UAE and Afghanistan. before this Series, Afghanistan toured UAE in February this year, played 3 T20i match series. there was a good competition in that series, both teams played some good cricket, eventually Afghanistan clinched the series with 2-1 lead.
Now in this series, at the end of 2023, fans are expecting some good competition. Right now, Afghanistan are High Flying side, after beating England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Closely contested match against World Cup winners Australia, they are known as Giant-Killers!
on other hand, UAE does not look as Solid, as Afghanistan, But there are expectations, UAE Cricket team is improving & Growing! with many Well Known leagues there, including on-going Abu Dhabi T10 League, & other T20 leagues Like International League T20 (ILT), UAE crickters get many opportunities to grow their skills. UAE cricketers have better facilities than some other Developing Cricket Nations. So, UAE cricket is improving, as we witnessed their Series against New Zealand, UAE Lost that series, but played well. UAE team include some Talented youngsters like Ayan Afzal Khan, Viritya Aravind, Ali Naseer. it will be a good oppurtunity for UAE youngster to improve their skills against Strong Afghan cricket team. Afghanistan is Going to play a series against India next year, so, this UAE series will provide them some Good preparation.
in this UAE series, Afghanistan will play two 50-over matches on 25th & 27th of December 2023 at Sharjah.
& three T20i matches will be played on 29 december, 31 december and 02 january 2024.
